By choosing this program you will be able to spend a school year in Canada in the Vernon School District. The school year in Canada is divided into two 5-month semesters: the first begins in early September and ends in late January, while the second begins in late January and ends in late June. In each semester you study 4 subjects, while some schools in the school district offer the linear system, which involves studying 8 subjects throughout the school year. Some subjects are mandatory, but you'll have the opportunity to customize your course of study through the choice of optional subjects; students who have a B2 level of French can choose the French Immersion program.
The Vernon District is located about halfway between Calgary and Vancouver in central British Columbia, where you will have a 100% Canadian experience.
Sports, as in all Canadian schools, are seasonal, alternating throughout the months of the school year. You can, however, take part in one of the following sports academies, which will allow you to practice the sport you love during your stay, you can choose: soccer, baseball, field hockey, winter sports, Earthquest the Outdoor School.
