In the High School Exchange program, you will be hosted by a volunteer family and attend a local public school. Your destination location will depend on the choice of a host family who decides to accommodate you.
Included in the program is a 3-day, 2-night Welcome Camp to begin the experience with other international students with whom you can share your final arrival questions and concerns. The Welcome Camp is provided for summer departures only.
Prior knowledge of German is generally required in this program, each application will be evaluated individually.

Personal counseling by MLC Edu staff on all aspects of the program for students and parents;
Assistance in preparing the necessary documents;
Medical, baggage, liability and cancellation insurance;
Visa application guide;
Round-trip flight from Italy (Rome or Milan);

Welcome at the airport upon arrival and transfer to the family;

The price does not include
Registration fee of € 120;
Consular fees and visa costs;
School uniform and canteen;
Public transportation to school or to the location of school or extracurricular activities;
Extra costs for vaccines and medical tests required by the country of destination;
School supplies (books, handouts);
Expenses for school activities planned by the school (mandatory if provided by the school);
Excursions, travel and personal expenses;
Any penalty for change of date of airline ticket and request for departure from other airports;
Any supplements related to special diets (e.g. gluten-free)
Anything not listed under "what is included".

The balance of the fee is divided into three installments with the following payment dates.
